For as long as I can remember, I struggled with maintaining a healthy weight. Since I was ten years old, I have been on every type of diet on the market. I couldn't keep the weight off despite what I had tried. The toll I had put my body through over years of yo-yo dieting finally caught up with me.
When it was time for me to start a family, my body said no! The restrictive eating and excessive exercise, followed by binge eating, confused my body. I had tried multiple attempts to conceive and spent thousands of dollars but failed, and I still had no real answers about what was wrong with me. That's when I decided to take my health into my own hands and learn what was happening with my body and how to heal it.
During my studies in functional nutrition, everything started to make sense, and I saw a considerable improvement in my health. I better understood how the body functions and what it takes to keep it healthy.
One day while feeding my dogs, it dawned on me that if the food that I was eating and how I was living my life were making me ill, what about them?
Let me introduce you to my two pups, Rowan and Ripley. They are the reason why I am so passionate about holistic pet health. The more I learned about nutrition for our pets, the more I realized that they are very similar to us and are affected by the same chronic conditions as we are.
When I had adopted both of them, I vowed to take care of them to the best of my ability to ensure they lived long and healthy lives. Now I have the knowledge to do that and want to share it with you.
I always thought I was feeding them the best food on the market, but that was not the case. I noticed a significant change by switching from kibble to a diet containing whole-natural foods and making small, simple changes to their home environment. Especially in Ripley, who was starting to show signs of slowing down at the age of six, now behaves and plays like a puppy.
It is now my life's mission to help as many pet parents as possible be able to provide the life their pets deserve. It doesn't matter at what stage you're at on this journey. You could just be curious and want to make small, simple changes to improve your pet's health, or you may have had an upsetting diagnosis from your vet. Either way, I am here to help your pet harness the power of natural health.
